Hello and Welcome!

We are lifelong collectors and addicted to vintage. Vintage what? Vintage just about everything. Long ago we realized we would never have room to personally enjoy all of our vintage finds and still be able to add “new“ ones. First we traded with antiques dealers... Which evolved into antique mall booths, our own bricks and mortar shop, holding auctions, and selling at Metrolina. When we moved to Missouri a few years ago we held two huge auctions and down-sized. You guessed it: we didn’t stop collecting.

Neither of us are antiques experts. We are dilettantes that subscribe to the rule: buy what you love. We have another rule: Use what you love. From our 1932 Detroit Jewel gas stove, Homer Laughlin Fiestaware and Franciscan Desert Rose, my grandma’s treadle sewing machine, Gary’s daddy’s horse harness… even our furniture is vintage. Though we must admit that we use glass liners in our Roseville and Van Briggle pottery. Sometimes we use things as they were intended, but we definitely believe in re-purposing objects.

We’ve restored five historical homes, beginning with a 1905 Shirtwaist and finally a manor house built in 1750’s. Currently we live in a home we custom built to suit our collections. Another restoration is probably in our future, but the house hasn’t found us yet. Gary drives a 1968 Volvo P1800 and Sue’s car is a 1968 Volvo Amazon named Xena. And yes, we really do farm with horses - just for fun.

From time to time we'll be posting our thoughts here... we hope you'll join us.
